Ingredients

  • 12 pieces bacon, smoked and thick sliced
  • 1 cup Mariani California Raisins
  • 1 cup water
  • 1 cinnamon stick
  • ½ cup brown sugar
  • 1 pinch Kosher salt
  • 1 pinch fresh ground black pepper

Instructions

  • Preheat oven to 400 degrees.
  • Combine raisins, water, cinnamon stick, brown sugar, salt, and black pepper in small sauce pan. Bring to boil over medium heat.
  • Remove from heat and cover, allowing it to macerate for 5-10 minutes.
  • Transfer to food processor or blender and blend until smooth.
  • Place bacon strips onto baking rack on sheet tray.
  • (Quick Tip: cover sheet tray with foil to reduce cleanup time!)
  • Par-bake bacon for 15 minutes: remove, flip bacon over, and brush with raisin glaze. Continue to bake 5-10 minutes until fully cooked and glaze is thickened.
