Mariani Cranberry Sauce


3/4 cup granulated sugar
1/4 cup water
1/4 cup ruby port
3 oranges, zested and juiced
2 shallots, minced
1 tablespoon cider vinegar
1 1/3 cups Mariani Dried Cranberries (10 oz- 2 bags)


  1. In a nonreactive saucepan, place sugar, water, port, orange juice and shallots over medium heat. Simmer uncovered for 9 minutes.
  2. Add vinegar, orange zest and Mariani Dried Cranberries.
  3. Simmer an additional 7 minutes, stirring constantly. Refrigerate at least 4 hours before serving.

*Makes 2 1/3 cups of Cranberry Sauce.
