2 1/4 cup all-purpose flour
1 teaspoon baking soda
1/2 teaspoon salt
1 cup unsalted butter, softened
1/2 cup white sugar
3/4 cup brown sugar
1 1/2 teaspoons vanilla extract 1 cup Mariani Cherries
6-9 ounces milk chocolate
Preheat oven to 375 degrees F. Grease baking sheets. Whisk together the flour, baking soda, and salt; set aside. Chop up the milk chocolate & set aside.
Beat the unsalted butter, white sugar and brown sugar with an electric mixer in a large bowl until smooth. Add the eggs one at a time; beat in the vanilla extract with the last egg. Mix in the flour mixture until just incorporated. Fold in the cherries and chocolate chunks (6-9 ounces, more or less based on preference), mixing just enough to evenly combine. Drop by rounded spoonfuls onto the prepared cookie sheets.
Bake in the preheated oven until browned around the edges, 11 to 13 minutes. Cool on a cookie sheet for 2 minutes; remove cookies to wire rack to cool completely.
