Bacon-Wrapped Dates Stuffed with Goat Cheese

Ingredients

12 Mariani Pitted Dates

1 cup balsamic vinegar

4oz. goat cheese

4 TBSP fresh sage (chopped)

6 strips applewood smoked bacon (cut in half)

Directions

Simmer balsamic vinegar in a small skillet over medium heat, 2-4 minutes until reduced.  Cool, set aside.  Preheat broiler.  In a bowl, mix goat cheese and chopped sage.  Stuff each date with about one tsp. of goat cheese-sage mixture.

Wrap each fig with bacon and place on foil lined baking tray.  Broil for 5-7 minutes, until bacon is crisp.  Drizzle with reduced balsamic vinegar and serve warm.
